The Alabama Industry Liaison Group (ALILG) is the premier employer association in the state of Alabama for federal contractors and subcontractors committed to equal opportunity employment. We welcome you to join us!
The Alabama Industry Liaison Group (ALILG) was founded in August 2001 as a non-profit employer association based on the belief that improved and expanded communications between regulatory agencies and the Alabama federal contractor community would improve mutual understanding, foster greater voluntary compliance efforts and bolster equal employment opportunity.
True to that mission today, the ALILG promotes diversity, affirmative action and equal employment opportunity by working closely with the U.S. Department of Labor's Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP), the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), and other related regulatory agencies to:
Provide regular learning opportunities on emerging regulatory compliance requirements and enforcement trends,
Provide a confidential forum for peer networking and discussion of compliance risks and strategies,
Advocate the viewpoints of ALILG members and constituents to promote mutual understanding with federal agencies, and
Help shape regulatory outcomes by providing formal feedback on proposed rules and regulations.
Mr. Sam Maiden, OFCCP Southeast Regional Director, will join us to discuss the Agency's focus and direction under the Trump Administration, including the Agency's renewed focus on Compliance Assistance, and provision of tools and resources federal contractors need to voluntarily comply with EEO and nondiscrimination obligations under E.O. 11246, Sec. 503 of the Rehabilitation Act and Section 4212 of VEVRAA. Mr. Maiden will also discuss the OFCCP's 2018 compliance initiatives and audit trends.
Please plan to join us. Bring your colleagues and questions. Refreshments will be served.
The Alabama Industry Liaison Group (ALILG) generally meets four times during the calendar year in Birmingham, Alabama. Our meeting venue is typically the Federal Reserve Bank located in Liberty Park just off I-459. (Visit our Contact Us page for the address, map and directions.)
The purpose of our meetings is to provide technical assistance learning and confidential forums for discussing issues of importance to our members. Our regular meetings and compliance seminars feature local, regional and national speakers who are experts in the field of federal contract compliance, including representatives of the OFCCP, EEOC and other regulatory administrative agencies, as well as attorneys and consultants.
